In recent years, education has faced many challenges, and our staff continue to go above and beyond to create safe, supportive, and engaging environments for our students to learn and grow.  Columbia wants to celebrate team members who make a difference by lending a helping hand, whether through a small gesture or a big effort.

Amy Cano, Instructional Technician WINNER

“Amy has worked all day with some of our most challenging students…She stays sweet and positive the whole time! She shows up to work when she is running on empty! I appreciate her dedication and calmness.”

“Amy is so flexible. She goes to work everyday with a smile. She works with challenges and I have never seen her complain. She helps out in the after school program.”

“Amy is such a valuable part of our team and is always willing to jump in and help wherever she’s needed. She consistently shows up with a positive attitude and a team-first mindset.”

“She approaches all students with empathy and compassion, taking the time to really connect with them and meet their needs. Amy does a great job implementing supports as intended and stays consistent in her approach, which makes a big difference for our students.”

“Her calm, patient demeanor helps create a supportive and steady environment, even during challenging moments.”

Robert Bem, MOT

He goes above and beyond to help out, doing numerous jobs on campus. He is pulled in different directions several times a day and always does it with a smile on his face.  There is never a time that he doesn't offer to help out even when he knows that it's not his job.   I really don't think this campus would run as smoothly as it does without him.”

Breanne Brown, Accounts Payable & Payroll

“She has been one of the main reasons the district office has been functioning…She is self-sufficient, resourceful and handles every challenge with grace.  She is so knowledgeable about the school system and such a valuable part of Columbia.”

Tanji Fields, Literacy Interventionist

Tanji is wonderful at supporting my students and consistently goes above and beyond to meet their needs. She is not only supportive of students, but also always willing to help staff with resources we can use in our classroom. I am very appreciative of Tanji and have seen a significant improvement in my students due to her dedication.

Gina Hughes, Math Interventionist

“Gina carries the weight of so many others, and she does everything with a smile. All the students love her and she truly can change someone's day. She has the kindest heart.

Sarah Olmsted & Alyssa Prowler, Front Office

“The everyday grind of balancing ‘normal’ tasks while constantly being interrupted by the needs of students, parents, and staff—and handling it all with patience and  grace (mostly).😂”

“A huge thank you to our amazing, all-knowing office staff for everything you do. You are truly appreciated! 💙
