At the start of this school year, we opened up The Mine, our community closet, to much success. We were able to support a number of students and families and we continue to receive donations from all of our partners to keep The Mine running.
We will start to expand what The Mine provides by offering families complete meal kits. Between contributions from other local groups and organizations and what the district can provide, we are looking to kick this off with our annual food drive.
Attached is a list of preferred items by grade level. Each item will count as a point for their grade level and the grade with the most points will receive a pizza party. If a student brings in different items to donate that are not on the list, that is absolutely okay!
The food drive will begin November 10 and run through November 21.
