August 1, 2025

Dear Columbia Families,

We are excited to welcome you and your children back for the 2025-26 school year!  There are a few important dates that we wanted to be sure that you were aware of as our first day of school draws near.

Now that our registration process is digital, we are offering Registration Technical Assistance on Wednesday, August 13, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM in the Library.  If you have completed the registration process, you do not need to attend.  If you need assistance and are unable to attend on August 13, please come to the Main Office on August 14 and 15 during regular business hours.

On Friday, August 15, class lists will be finalized, and you can see your child’s classroom teacher via the Aeries parent portal.

Monday, August 18 will be our Back to School Night for all grade levels.  We invite all families to join us beginning at 4:00 PM for a barbecue.  Dinner will be available until 5:30 PM.  To accommodate our incredible turnout last year, we will be offering three (3) sessions for parents to meet their children’s respective classroom teachers.  We feel this will also help with families who have multiple children attending Columbia.  Our sessions are 5:00-5:20 PM, 5:25-5:45 PM, and 5:50-6:10 PM.  The campus will be closed at 6:30 PM.

Wednesday, August 20 will be our first day of school!  This will be an early release day, ending at 1:15 PM.   Thursday and Friday, August 21-22, will also be early release at 1:15 PM.

As a reminder, school begins at 8:15 AM for all students.  Students can be dropped off as early as 7:45 AM.  Kindergarten is dismissed at 1:45 PM, and Grades 1-8 are dismissed at 2:55 PM.  Every Friday is early dismissal at 1:15 PM for Grades K-8.  Information on our Transitional Kindergarten program will be sent out to families as we continue to see what our enrollment numbers are and whether additional sessions are needed.

Kindergarten will be dismissed at 12:45 PM from August 20 through August 29.

Please call the front office or email me with questions or concerns.  We look forward to a wonderful school year!  Please keep an eye out for additional announcements and information.

Thank you,

Ms. Rebekah Wood, Principal
