Tuolumne County School Districts Announce Plans to Temporarily Close in Response to COVID-19
Hello Columbia Families,
Here is the latest on distance learning:
Chromebooks: If your student needs a Chromebook please email or call Mrs. Mohr at smohr@cusd49.com or 533-5580 and leave a message with the number of students and their names that will need a device. We will be handing those out on
Monday April 6th and Tuesday April 7th from 8:45-11:45a.m. in front of the school. If you have already emailed me there is no need to send another email. On Tuesday we will also have paper packets available for students if online learning is not an option yet. Teachers will be presenting lessons in an online format starting April 13.
Internet Access: We are working with local providers and the state to increase internet access for students at home. We will send more details when we have them. However, we do have a local provider, Cal.net, who has offered to help our families. Go to www.cal.net and fill out the form titled “See if you qualify” with the word “help” after your last name. They will contact you to see how to get you connected for a low cost.
Lunches: If you need lunches for your student or anyone in the household under 18, please make sure to place an order by Monday at 10:00a.m. via email or phone.
Email abondelie@cusd49.com or call 536-5570 and leave a message. If you have been receiving lunches, no need to call or email. We will continue to deliver to your homes. Please keep in mind that we are moving to only delivering lunches on Monday to your home. This change is being done so that we can keep everyone safe during this time.
Finally, we miss all of you. We want everyone to be safe and healthy. The school office will be closed starting Wednesday, April 8. Please make sure that if you need food that you order on Monday. If you need help please call the District office at 532-0202
Thank you and stay safe.
Mrs. Mohr
