Full STEAM Ahead

Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) are the basis for many new and expanding job markets. We are excited to be able to offer the opportunity to learn more about STEAM to all of our students this year.

Our new STEAM lab has a whole selection of hands-on activities for students across a wide range of subjects. Teachers may check out materials from the lab or bring students to the lab for instruction. Students will have the opportunity to design and use tools such as the laser cutter or 3D printers to bring designs to life. Students will also have the opportunity to build using a Lego wall.

This year we will again have the opportunity to offer after school art classes to our students. These classes will be held in our newly completed Studio 49 art space. In addition to these offerings, we are also planning to add spaces for video and podcast recording later this year.

Our teachers have also been hard at work over the summer to learn about new ways to engage students in STEAM-related lessons. Many of our teachers have new tools for their classrooms as well as awesome training to ensure maximum engagement and learning for all students.
